The Lodge
The Lodge is a spacious home situated amid tranquil native forest, prolific birdlife and stunning waterfalls. Kiwi feed around the Lodge at night and there are glowworms along the stream beside the Lodge. Only minutes from the Hokianga Harbour and Tasman Sea, the Lodge provides a serene base for exploring the beauty, history, culture and art trails of the Hokianga region. YOU are the only guests and your complete privacy is guaranteed. Hosts Candy and Rawiri live out of sight, about 200m away and ready to cater exclusively to your needs. There are games, puzzles and cards for the kids, cable TV and an extensive library for those inside days. The Lodge has full kitchen and laundry facilities. There are vegetable gardens, glowworms and bushwalks on-site. Local activities include horsetrekking, sandboarding, fishing, hunting, art trails, Waipoua Forest, boat cruises, Maori culture experiences, hiking and birdwatching.
